He also stated that there was no specific timetable for ending the war, emphasizing that the United States intended to ensure that Iran could not acquire nuclear weapons or maintain ballistic missile capabilities.

The United States confirmed that it had struck an Iranian vessel carrying drones, with the U.S. Central Command reporting that the ship was now on fire.
